Kathi Deene Sandridge - Class Of 1987

Kathi Deene Sandridge, 50, our earthly angel, became Heaven's child on Thursday, March 10, 2016.
 
A daughter of Ella Kent Sandridge and the late D.W. Sandridge, Jr., she was born February 13, 1966, in Charlottesville, Va.
 
She completed her education at Albemarle High School in 1987, one of her proud achievements.Kathi truly loved life, children, puppy dogs, her family, and friends. She never met a stranger and, in return, was adored by all. She was a beloved fixture of the Crozet community. Some of her favorite times were spent as "Secretary" with "Boss" and daddy at the family store.D.W., Jr. referred to her as "Daddy's Angel". Along with her Heavenly Father, he was there to welcome her back into his loving arms.
 
Her family cherished her life and includes a specially chosen mother, Ella Kent Sandridge (Kathi called her "Princess"); three brothers, Ralph W. Sandridge and his wife, Christine of Melbourne, Fla., D.B. Sandridge and his wife, Connie of Crozet, and Kevin C. Sandridge and his wife, Carolyn of Crozet; one sister, Della Sue Taylor and her husband, James of Stuarts Draft; Aunt June and Uncle Junior; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special caregivers, Nancy Tisdale, and Cindy Kuhl.
 
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at McDow Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Whitehall.A celebration of Kathi's life will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Calvary United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Charlie Reynolds.
