CATEC INDUCTS TWO ALBEMARLE COUNTY EDUCATORS IN WALL OF FAME
Benjamin F. Hurt and Thomas W. Hurlburt were recently inducted in the Charlottesville - Albemarle Technical Education Center Wall of Fame in May. Mr Hurt served as a teacher and principal at Greenwood High School and is better known as the principal of Albemarle High School for thirty years 1954 - 1984. Mr. Hurt was inducted in the Albemarle High School Alumni Hall of Fame on May 13, 2011 by the Albemarle High School Alumni Association at their "A Night To Remember" program to honor Mr Hurt and the first members of the AHS Alumni Hall of Fame. The book Mr. Hurt's 10,000 Memories" was printed in his honor. Thomas Hurlburt was a teacher in Albemarle County and principal of Broadus Wood and McIntire Elementary Schools and has held other positions in the Albemarle County Public Schools System. Mr Hurt and Mr Hurlburt are members of the Albemarle High School Alumni Association.
