She will also be greatly missed by her stepmother, Neil Kite; her cousins, Carolyn, Margaret, Kathy, and Nancy; long-time family friend, Theresa Omohundro; as well as her partner of many years, Phillip Nordloh, of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Earl Kite; and mother, Linda lee Vaughan, both of Charlottesville.

Ronda graduated from Albemarle High School. She was in the National Honor Society, foreign language honor society, and received the Foreign Language Award for her Senior class. She appeared in many plays, often in main roles and was in the student government. Ronda then attended the University of Oregon, in Eugene, and the University of Hawaii, in Honolulu. She later received her nursing degree and worked as a registered nurse.

Ronda will be best remembered for her caring heart and her amazing sense of humor and infectious laugh. She always surrounded herself with animals, whether living on a farm in South Carolina, by the beach in Southern Texas, on the side of a mountain in Greene County, or in the center of downtown Houston.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the SPCA.
