Ronald Thomas Haney II - Class Of 1990

 

Ronald Thomas Haney II, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in Louisa, Kentucky, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born on June 3, 1972, in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was a graduate of Albemarle High School.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Albert and Virgie Morris, and Thomas Breeden.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy; his daughter, Kristen; his son, Tony; his parents, Ronnie and Judy Haney of Earlysville; his mother, Judy Damron; his step dad, James Damron of Charlottesville; his paternal grandparents, George and Margaret Haney of Charlottesville, whom both provided Ronnie with a lifetime of unconditional love; his mother and father-inlaw, Winifred and Judy Williamson of Inez, Kentucky; half-sister, Jamie Damron; stepsister, Angie Taylor; stepbrothers, Kenny Jarrell and Scott Burton; five uncles, Gary Haney, Thomas Breeden, Mike Powell, Donnie Patterson, and Willard Poindexter; six aunts, Janice Poindexter, Brenda Powell, Cindy Patterson, Mary Lynn Haney, Jeanie Morris and Penny Breeden; a special niece, Kristina Shaver; a special nephew, Randy Taylor; his best friend of more than 20 years, Shawn Shifflett, whom he thought of as a brother; and many dear cousins and friends.

Ronnie made us all so proud! He took great pride in being a wonderful husband, father, son, grandson and son-in-law. Ronnie was the most loving, kind-hearted person you could ever meet. He was a loyal and avid fan of University of Virginia sports, the Washington Redskins, and the New York Yankees. He will be truly missed by everyone that knew him.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church on Stony Point Road conducted by Pastor Eric Howell.
