Charlotte Swisher York

Attended college in NC and then resided in NC instead of living in Va. Moved to Statesville, NC in 1976. Have been employed in Iredell-Statesville Schools for most of the following years. Looking forward to retirement in 2 years. Have also taught in Sunday/Sabbath School on and off of these years. Reid and I planned and partically built our cabin in Ashe Co. We rented it to tourists. When Reid discovered he was to have 3 operations in 2009, we sold our cabin to an offer made just a month before Reid had to quit working. I believe that was planned by the Lord.

During my senior year, I had study hall with Mr. Estes during the time that all the lunches were scheduled. Mr. Estes allowed me to help in the art class instead of bein in study hall. A friend from art class and I decided we would choose when and how long we stayed for lunch. We were not suppose to roam the hall upstairs at that time. The art class was on 2nd floor. Mr. Trice caught me one time and warned me not to do that again. He did not know that one day his son Joey Trice from Lane HS snuck up with me on 2nd flooor.
