Debrah Godwin Kirby, “Debbie”, 72 of Fluvanna went to her eternal home on April 11, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born March 26, 1952, to the late Rudy & Helen Godwin of Crozet VA and was proceeded in death by her grandson, Oaklee Kennedy and great nephew, Parker Daniels.

She is survived by her sister, Ginger & Larry Daniels along with their family, Scott & Taylor, Kennedy, Ben & Briann, Brinleigh & Brayden of TN. Her daughter, Jennifer & David Kennedy along with their 3 girls, Shamley, Brantley & Paizley of Culpeper. Her son, Randy & Brandi Kirby of Fluvanna & their children Kayla & Hunter. She held a special place in her heart for Larry, Terri & Randa Kirby, Derek Woodward, Kalley Seitz & Tyler Knight, along with many wonderful friends.

Debbie retired from the University of Virginia after serving at Clemons & Alderman libraries. She was a lover of cats, the beach, gnomes, all things tie-dye, and her “grand” dogs. There was never a person she could not carry a conversation with. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed but her memory will be carried on with us all.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday April 30, 2024, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00p.m., at Teague Funeral Service 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, VA, 22903.
