Christopher Shawn McDaniel gained his Heavenly wings on Sunday, October 8, 2017. Christopher was born on July 19, 1978, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Anita McDaniel and Roger “Tuck” Anderson.

He was a 1997 graduate of Albemarle High School where he was a star member of the football team.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; his children, Kaila Ragland, Crishtian McDaniel, Taylor Ragland, and their mother, Terri Ragland; brothers, Kevin and Joseph McDaniel, and Roger and Stephon Marsh; sisters; his adoptive father, Ronald Rocca; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; Troy Wade and many other friends who will forever remember his bright smile and huge heart.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joann McDaniel; and his special companion, Angela Wingfield.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Preddy’s Funeral Home, 301 N. Main Street, Gordonsville, Virginia. The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. until the start of the service at 2 p.m.
