Robert M. Gilliam Jr. 60, of Esmont, departed this life Tuesday, May.14, 2024, at The Hospice of Piedmont Northside. He was born February 29, 1964, to the late Annie P. Gilliam and Robert M. Gilliam Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Stephen Gilliam and Glenn Carey.

He leaves to cherish his brother Jerrema Gilliam of Esmont, and four sisters Kaneyko Burton of Hampton, McShanna Jackson and husband Jon Jackson of Gordonsville, Angela Morris of Charlottesville, Linda Carey of Charlottesville. Fifteen nieces and nephews; Twenty-seven great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and many others.

Funeral services will be held at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Esmont, Va., Saturday May 25, 2024, at 12:00 pm with the Reverend Chauncey Brown officiating. He will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery.
