Phyllis Brackett Phyllis Brackett, 62, of Charlottesville, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Newton Brackett and Otelia Gilmore Brackett.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted family, three sons, Kilum Brackett of Denver, Colo., Jimeal Brackett of Waynesboro, Va., and Ryan Brackett of Crozet, Va.; one daughter, Latoya Brackett of Seattle, Wash.; three brothers, John Brackett of Charlottesville, Va., Freddie Brown of Baltimore, Md., and James Brackett of Charlottesville, Va.; one sister; Lucinda Brackett Woodley of Charlottesville, Va.; eight grandchildren and a host of beloved relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church with the Reverend Lloyd Feggans eulogizing and Karen Cooper officiating. Services of comfort are entrusted to the staff of McClenny Funeral Service Inc.
