Larry Wayne Smith Larry Wayne Smith, 59, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. Larry was born March 15, 1954.

He was a graduate of Albemarle High school in 1973. He worked in the construction industry many years. He loved sports and was always happy in life. He will be missed by many. Survivors include his life long companion, Lydia Messer; daughter, Sabrina Smith; daughter of Lydia, Angela Magnusson; son of Lydia, Dustin Messer; sister, Diane Smith Kahn of Bristol, Virginia; brother, Clyde Eugene Smith of Troy, Virginia; and father, Clarence Ollen Smith. He was predeceased by his mother, Thelma Easterling Smith.

There will be no funeral services and the burial will be private. Donations maybe made to The American Cancer Society.
