Darrell Dean Murdock - Class Of 1973


GRAHAM - Mr. Darrell Dean Murdock, 58, of 396 Wade Street, Graham, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 9:24 p.m.

A native of Raleigh County, West Virginia, he was the husband of Sara Sechrest Murdock, who survives, and the son of the late George Murdock and Stella Wring Bowling Murdock, who survives. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Alissa Hodges and husband William of Graham; a son, Timothy Darrell Murdock and wife Erin of Bangor, Washington; three grandchildren, Billy Hodges, Brent Hodges, and Lee Hodges; three sisters, Brenda Ornduff and husband Bill of Gordonsville, VA, Barbara Vest and husband Howard of Nimitz, WV, and Deborah Hamm and husband Ray of Gordonsville, VA; two brothers, Okie Mills and wife Deborah of Berea, KY and Arnold Murdock of Columbia, SC; and a father in law, Lee Sechrest of Tuson, Arizona.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Norman M. Whitney Sr.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. At other times the family will be at the residence.
