Janice Ann Faulconer, 59, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014.  She was born on June 17, 1954, in Charlottesville. 

Janice graduated from Albemarle High School and Mary Baldwin College.  She was employed by Martha Jefferson Hospital for over 40 years. 

Janice will be remembered by all who loved her as a kind and gentle person.  She was a devoted friend who filled many lives with laughter and joy.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. 

Janice was preceded in death by her father, James W. Faulconer Sr.  She is survived by her mother, Doris H. Faulconer; her brother, James W. Faulconer Jr. and his wife, Gail; nephew, Will Faulconer and his wife, Libbie, and their daughter, Ella; and nieces, Katie Faulconer and Caroline Faulconer. Other survivors include her aunt, Beverly Glascock and her husband, Thomas; uncle, Walter Faulconer and his wife, Helen; and many cousins. 

A celebration of Janice's life will be held at a later date.  The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the physicians and staff at Martha Jefferson Hospital for their excellent care. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to be made in her memory to Martha Jefferson Hospital c/o Martha Jefferson Foundation, 500 Martha Jefferson Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22911 in support of the Hospital Palliative Care Program.
