Katharine Hewson Lewis, 51, of Richmond, daughter of Katharine Lewis Dulaney and the late William O. Lewis of Ivy, died suddenly in Ivy on November 27, 2004.

Katharine was a graduate of the University of California, Riverside, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her PhD. at V.C.U. She had been employed by Best Products and Thalhimers and had done volunteer work at St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Richmond.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her uncle, Hewson Michie of Ivy; an aunt, Caroline Lewis of Richmond; seven cousins, and many devoted friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Richmond.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. A graveside service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Ivy, six miles west of Charlottesville.

Hill and Wood are handling funeral arrangements.
