Peggy Ann Abbott was born in Mt. Kisco, New York, on May 23, 1953, the eldest daughter of Herbert and Edna Abbott. With family at her side, she passed peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 12, 2009.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Ted Abbott of Redwood City, California, Ginny A. Little and her husband, Larry, of Chesterfield, Virginia, Barbara A. Buchanan and her husband, Lee, of Oakton, Virginia, and Bruce Abbott of Richmond, Virginia. She will also be remembered by her nephews and nieces, Steven Little of Brooklyn, New York, Christy Little of Richmond, Virginia,, Bruce Abbott Jr. of Wasilla, Alaska, and Lauren Horcsik of Wasilla, Alaska. Also treasuring her memory is her significant other of over 25 years, Keith McAlpine.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and residents of the Virginia Home for the loving care they have provided in these last years.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009, at Bliley's -Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, VA 23224.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Virginia Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Monticello Memory Gardens on Route 53 in Charlottesville, Virginia.
