Samuel Patteson Clarke (1966)
Sharon P. Holliday, 40, of Earlysville died Monday, Aug. 28, 1989, in a local hospital.
Born in Charlottesville on Sept. 6, 1948, she was the daughter of the late John G. Paxton Jr. and June Critzer Paxton.
Sharon was active in the Aldersgate United Methodist Church Choir, United Methodist Women, and the Agape Sunday School Class. She worked with Cabell Insurance Associates as manager administration department and computer coordinator and was a member of the Insurance Women of Charlottesville-Albemarle.
She is survived by her husband, David S. Holliday of Earlysville; her daughter, Marti E. Pugh of Earlysville; her son, David L. Pugh of Crozet; maternal grandmother, Mary E. Critzer of Charlottesville; and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John P. Dyksen officiating. Interment will follow at 4 in Thornrose Cemetery, Staunton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 1500 East Rio Road, Charlottesville, Va. 22901.
