Kenneth Beck Harrington, 75, of Lindsay, died Sunday, October 9, 2016, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

He was born on December 13, 1940, to the late E.W. Harrington and Margaret Beck Harrington.

He is survived by a brother, Eugene W. Harrington, Jr. of Chester; devoted in-laws, Linda L. Erskine of Charlottesville, William B. Lacy of Sumpter, South Carolina, and L. Stephen Lacyof Scootsville, and numerous cousins and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Ann Lacy Harrington (Class of '58); and a brother, Garland G. Harrington.

Ken was a 1959 graduate of Albemarle High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran with service in Morocco. He served 27 years with the University of Virginia Police Department. He was a lifelong resident of Lindsay, and will be remembered for his keen sense of humor.

A visitation will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. on Thursday October 27, 2016, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville. Interment will be private.
