Carolyn Marie Carter, 57, died at the University of Virginia Medical Center on July 9, 2022. She was born on April 22, 1965, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Carroll Markelle Carter, now deceased, and Joyce Marie (Coleman) Carter.

Carolyn is survived by her dear mother and two children, Avant àCarter of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Christopher Carter of Atlanta, Georgia.

The family will receive family and friends Saturday July 23, 2022, 11 a.m. at The Haven, 112 W Market Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902. Carolyn's final resting place will be at 15400 James Madison Hwy., Palmyra, VA 22963, where she will be buried alongside her father and paternal family.
