Douglas Brian McAllister, 64, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at his home.

He was born on July 14, 1959, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and was raised by Ruby and Patrick McAllister. 

Doug graduated from Albemarle High School in 1977.  He was very active in multiple sports, playing Baseball, Basketball and excelled in Football.  Doug continued his athletic career at Bridgewater College. After college, he entered the food & beverage world where managed a series of very successful restaurants in the Charlottesville market. Shortly after that, he moved to Birmingham, Alabama to expand his career.  Doug eventually landed on the gulf coast of Pensacola Beach, Florida. He loved living at the beach where he worked in advertising.  Doug loved his three dogs, Lucy, Dezi and Apple. Being a big sports fan, Doug purchased & operated an ESPN station for a number of years in Pensacola. During that time, Doug instantly became a huge Alabama fan (Roll Tide) and New Orlean Saints (WHO DAT) fan.  

He is survived by his two brothers, Kenneth McAllister (Alanna) and John McAllister (Mary-Camille), and their children, Christian Carillo, Jacob McAllister, Marisa McAllister, and John Caleb McAllister.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Crozet Baptist Church, Pastor David Collyer will be conducting the service.   A time of fellowship will be held immediately afterwards at the church.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Crozet Baptist.
