Linza Doris Turner (Reaves) - Class Of 1970

 Linza Reaves, 54, of Charlottesville, Virginia, departed this life on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Linza was born on January 30, 1952, to the late Jerry Turner and Lucy Ann Jordan. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Turner and Eddie Mathew Turner; and two sisters Emma Lee Moore and Mary Jane Martinez.

Linza was a graduate of Albemarle High School. She enjoyed Bingo and visiting friends and family.

Linza leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband, Ronald Reaves; a son Roosevelt Howard of Charlottesville Virginia.; two daughters, Roshelle Carter and her husband, Clarence, and Cynthia Scott and her husband, Wallie, all of Charlottesville Virginia; six brothers, Jerry Turner of West Virginia, William Turner of North Carolina, John Turner of Waynesboro, Virginia, Lynwood Turner and Charles Turner , both of Charlottesville ,Virginia, and Douglas Turner of Norfolk, Virginia; a sister, Lorraine Turner and devoted friend, John Gordon, of Charlottesville, Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Juanita Tyler, Mary Burton, and Debra Turner, all of Charlottesville, Virginia; three aunts , Christine Jordan of Amherst Virginia, Shirley Higgonbottom and Gladys Cashwall , both of Lynchburg, Virginia; and a devoted friend, Nicole Carr; fifteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday April 4, 2006, at Zion Union Baptist Church, Charlottesville, Virginia, with Rev. Joyce Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
