Mitchell David Hash, 28 years old, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015. He was the treasured husband of Emily Kirk Hash and beloved son of David Lee Hash and Cynthia Lee Hash.

Mitch was born on August 6, 1986, in Charlottesville Virginia. He graduated from Albemarle High School in 2004, and then joined the United States Marine Corps, serving five years. He returned to Charlottesville, Virginia to attend the University of Virginia and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by GAI Consultants in Richmond, Virginia.

Mitch loved watching UVA baseball and basketball. He was an avid fan of the Capitals hockey team and Orioles baseball team. He enjoyed playing guitar, golfing, scuba diving, and tennis. His infectious sense of humor brought happiness and joy to all who were privileged to know him.

Mitchell is also survived by his sister, April (Adolfo) Martinez; niece, Ainsley Martinez; maternal grandmother, Lillian Riley; paternal grandmother, Ella Mae Hash Shifflett; two aunts, Carla (Walter) Harris and Robin Murphy; his uncle, Roger (Dawn) Riley; his in-laws, Mark and Rosemary Kirk; a brother in-law, Evan Kirk; and, several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lee Hash.

A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. Interment will directly follow at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Charlottesville, VA 22902.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, at the funeral home.

Following interment, family and friends are invited to return to the funeral home to share memories and honor Mitch.
