Jonathan Mac Jurlando

Jonathan Mac Jurlando, 35, of Locust Grove, Virginia, ended his battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

Jonathan was born on April 24, 1975, in Charlottesville, Virginia. A graduate of Albemarle High School, Jonathan married his lifelong love, Amelia Buckley Damon, on October 7, 2000. His joy of life grew with the birth of his daughters Ellie 3, Kayden 1, and Marlie 1, whom he cared for at home over the last four years of his life.

Jonathan had a passion for four-wheeling, which brought out his creative talents, led him on many adventures, and created close friendships.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Amelia and daughters Eleanor Iva, Kayden Jennifer, and Marlie Samantha; his mother, Linda of Charlottesville; his father, Sam and step-mother, Shirley, of Gordonsville; his father-in-law, David Damon and mother-in-law, Mary Ann Buckley. Jonathan is also survived by his siblings, Jennifer, Michael, Mark, Debra, Linda and Marilynne; and sister-in-law, Rachel. A favorite uncle and his many nieces and nephews will miss his laughter and playfulness.

A loyal friend, Jonathan will be missed by his family and countless friends, and leaves the world a better place for his existence.

A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Locust Grove, 11 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010.
