Charles "Chip" Gerbert died on February 19, 1989, as a result of an auto accident.  He is survived by a sister Kelly.

Chip served as a 2nd Lt. in the US Army.  He is buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Dunklin Co., Missouri.  His gravesite can be found in Section 7, Row 29 of the cemetery.
