Thomas C. Dobbins, 48, of Charlottesville, died on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at his private residence after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born on September 29, 1964, the son of Jenny Raines Garton of Scottsville and the late Charles W. Dobbins.

Thomas was the founder of Bella Boutique, stylist to many beloved friends, and he enjoyed five wonderful years with his Bella team.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his partner, J.D. Hohman of Charlottesville; his stepfather, Fred Garton of Scottsville; his niece, Cailin Anne Dobbins; and his nephew, Conner Douglas Dobbins.

A memorial service in celebration of Thom will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the Foxfield race course.
