Lillian "Lil" Lucille Jordan, 54, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on May 22, 1957, in Scotland Neck, North Carolina. She graduated from Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, and then attended North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. Lil worked as a paralegal for several different law firms in Atlanta, Georgia, Los Angeles, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada, until the time of her illness.

While living in Atlanta, she attended World Changers Ministries where Dr. Creflo Dollar is the founding pastor. While living in California, she attended the First AME church of Los Angeles. Lil enjoyed golfing, reading a good fiction novel and a good game of Texas Hold 'Em. She particularly showed interest in the accomplishments of her nieces and nephews, making sure to return home every other year to attend their high school graduations. She was preceded in death by one older sister, Casondra "Kris" Denise Jordan.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, James and Betty Jordan of Esmont, Virginia; her brother, Paul Jordan of Stanardsville, Virginia; her sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and H. William Carter Jr. of Harrisonburg, Virginia; three nieces, Allegra Springer and Amethyst and Amber Carter of Harrisonburg; two nephews, Airik and Asaph Carter of Harrisonburg; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. At Lil's request, her body will be cremated. She said to her mother that as long as her spirit was with Jesus, she wasn't concerned about the physical remains. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at the New Green Mountain Baptist Church in Esmont, Virginia. Burial will be private at a later date.

Condolences may be made by calling on the parents at their home.
