Carol Sue Ryalls Marshall

Carol left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father and earthly father, Clinton S. Ryalls on Tuesday, June 22, 2010.

Carol was born in Charlottesville on July 26, 1954, and had bravely fought cancer for three years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Virginia "Jenny" R. Ryalls; a brother, Russell "Russ" and his wife, Nancy; a niece, Elizabeth "Beth"; and a nephew, Benjamin "Ben" Ryalls, all who she loved dearly.

Carol was a graduate of Albemarle High School and Germanna Community College.

Carol was employed by Martha Jefferson Hospital, Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge, Gambro Dialysis, and had taught LPN's for Richmond School of Nursing. Her last employer and greatest love was Western Albemarle High School as the school nurse where she touched many student's hearts.

Carol was a long time member of First Baptist Church where she taught through the Preschool Sunday School for 14 years.

Interment will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens, 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, with Dr. Lindsay Sadler officiating .

A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at First Baptist Church Park Street at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow at First Baptist Fellowship Hall.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2010, at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the students and staff at Western Albemarle High School for their love and devotion during her illness as well as all her other friends that have been so faithful. She always thought of others before herself. Carol, we're going to miss you so.
