Mark Allen Miller, 55, of Waynesboro, formerly of Schuyler, died on Saturday, February 27, 2010.

He was born in Pennsylvania on October 23, 1954, the son of John and Anna Miller of Stuarts Draft, Virginia.

He graduated from Albemarle High School and volunteered with the Scottsville Volunteer Rescue Squad and Faber Volunteer Fire Company.

For the last three years he was an active member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Waynesboro. He sang in the choir and volunteered through the church with the local food bank. Prior to this, he was active in the Rock Spring United Methodist Church in Faber, Virginia, as a choir member, men's group member and participated in church community functions.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by five brothers and two sisters, David Miller of Lovingston, John Miller Jr. and his wife, Mary Lynn, of Reinholds, Pennsylvania, Daniel Miller and his wife, Tricia, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Paul Miller of Staunton, Virginia, Timothy Miller and his wife, Lisa, of Schuyler, Rhoda Miller of Charlottesville, and Martha Schwartzentruber and her husband, Dale, of Dot Lake, Alaska.

Family visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.

Funeral services and interment will be held at Rock Spring United Methodist Church, 1655 Rock Spring Road, Faber, Virginia, 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010.
