James Crenshaw Jr., 66, of Charlottesville, Va. passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015.He was born on September 22, 1948, the son of Catherine Crenshaw and the late James Crenshaw.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary C. Carter; and wife, Deborah Charlene Brown Crenshaw.

James was a graduate of Albemarle High School and retired from UVA dining services.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, James E. Crenshaw, III and Daniel Crenshaw and Sheryl Hazel; one daughter, Sharon Anderson and John; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth C. Stovall and Pensacola Barbour; an aunt, Alice Crenshaw; father-in-law, William V. Brown; brother-in-law, Willis Carter, Jr.; special friend, Diane Smith; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Union Run Baptist Church, with the Reverend Rickey White officiating and the Reverend Jesse Johnson delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the services.
