Charlie Morris, 59, of Charlottesville, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

He was born February 14, 1948, in Charlottesville, the son of the late Charles Andrew Morris and the late Helen Louise Dudley Morris.

Charlie was a wonderful and loving father and grandfather. His daughter and grandson were the love, pride and joy of his life. He was a very special brother and he became very close to his brother in the last several years. He loved taking long car rides. He was a member of Hardware Baptist Church and he will be missed and always remembered and loved by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Edward "Chuck" Morris Jr.

He is survived by a daughter, Laurie Ann Morris; a grandson, Matthew E. Barbour; a brother, Danny Morris; two sisters, Janet L. Litton and her husband, Charlie, and Pam D. Thomas and her husband, Lawrence; and a friend, Sandra S. Morris. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at Teague Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Teague Funeral Home.
