Bill was also at Belfield School (STAB for us now!), and graduated in 1960 with some others of us that went on to Albemarle.  There is a book in the library at STAB chronicling the history of the school.  In the section devoted to Belfield and the early 60's, there is a picture of Bill receiving his diploma from Norton Pritchett.

I'm saddened to hear of Billy's departure from this earth, and I extend my condolences to Bonnie and all of his family. Billy was always great fun to be around; I knew him best from spending summers at the Crozet Pool, where he too hung out. He was a very special kid, seeming to bring joy to everyone he met, and he was kind, always kind.

Many of us have wondered through the years "whatever happened to Billy Reed," as he didn't stay in touch with "the class"; so I am extremely happy to read that he had what seems to have been a great life -- married to his wife ever since 1969 (?), and having raised 3 children who gave him 13 grandchildren! It brought a big smile to my face when I read that. So, he's been in Nebraska all these years. I just visited N. Platte last summer - wish I'd known he was there.

If any of the family see these messages, I hope you'll add to the info about his life (& death), and most especially, please post a picture. What a great guy, Billy Reed!
