Margaret Jane "Meg" Marston (Sprouse) - Class Of 1964

 

 Margaret "Meg" Sprouse, 66, of Scottsville, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at a local hospital. She was born on March 19, 1946, in New Jersey, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Hannah Brecht Marston. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Catherine Marston; and her brother, Charles Edward Marston Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Sprouse; and two sons, Brecht W. Sprouse, his wife Stephanie and Bradford B. Sprouse, his wife Kylene; three granddaughters, Hannah Anne, Shelby Lynne and Jillian Emma Sprouse. She is also survived by seven brothers and sisters, Charlene Pulizzi of Pennsylvania, Trudy Braswell of Texas, William Marston of Maryland, Gary Marston of Richmond, Virginia, Jodi Blankenbaker of Madison, Virginia, Jeff Marston of Ruckersville, Virginia, and Jon Marston of Covesville, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Mount Eagle Baptist Church with the Reverend Sidney Craig officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Churchyard in Ivy. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Teague Funeral Home. James Garrett White (1966)

What wonderful memories of Meg I have, at Red Hill and at AHS.  A cheerful, vivacious girl, full of life and fun.  Generous with friendship and support.  I wish I could have known her all her life.     Jim White '66
