Charles Lee Williams - Class Of 1962

                        

Charles L. Williams, 70, of Charlottesville passed away on Thursday March 12, 2015. He was born on March 24, 1944, in Charlottesville, Va. to the late Herman and Lilly Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James Williams.

He was a graduate of the Albemarle High School. He worked for the University of Virginia Hospital, where he retired after 32 years of service in the Medical Records Department.

He is survived by his daughter, Cyndie W. Early Pace and her husband Jack, and his beloved grandson Joshua Early, who was just the light and joy of his life. He was a very loving and devoted Daddy and Grandpa. He is also survived by his brothers: Thurman Williams and Norman Williams (Wife Annie) and by his sisters: Thelma Gibson (Husband Jimmy), and Mattie Williams (Husband Howard), and by many adored nieces and nephews that lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Ugly".

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday March 16, 2015, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday March 15, 2015, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home.
