Albert Schwarzenboeck, 71, of Lake Monticello, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, following a valiant battle against cancer. 

He is survived by his wife, Maureen; son, Joseph; daughter, Ellen; sisters, Sister Anne, Terry, Louise, and Trudy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and August; and a brother, August Jr. 

Albert was the owner of Blue Ridge Irrigation Service Company. 

His family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2013, from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with a Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m.; a reception will follow at the church.  Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Monticello Memory Gardens. 

The family would like to thank the staff of the HOPE Center, Martha Jefferson Hospital, Moser Radiation Therapy Center, the doctors at the UVA Eye Clinic and Legacy Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Capital Campaign Fund, 4309 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Palmyra, VA 22963.
