Alvis Lawrence Quick, 68, of Palmyra, passed away Saturday Oct. 1, 2005, at his home.

Born Aug. 13,1937, in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Robert Linwood Quick and Thelma Austin Quick.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shawn Quick.

He is survived by his children, Anthony Forrest of Orlando, Fla., Daniel L. Quick of Mineral, Gregory Lawrence Quick Sr, of Goochland and Robert Christian Quick Sr., of Whitehall; his brother, Robert Linwood Quick Jr., of Alexandria; and by 14 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m.today at Monticello Memory Gardens.
