After college, a short stint in the USAF - spent my professional career as a P.E./ Driver's Ed / Health teacher in Albemarle and Roanoke Counties - also coached a lot of sports - football, track, basketball, baseball, cross country - mostly basketball. Currently an assistant women's basketball coach at Roanoke College (13 years). Avid golfer and musician (hammer dulcimer). Retired from teaching in 2006 - still coaching at Roanoke College

Tell us a favorite memory or story from your days at AHS.

Loved Friday afternoons. Since I was in the band, a bunch of us would stay after school, walk down to Kenney Burger - have a "nutritional" dinner (snack) and walk back and kill time before a football game - loved the "sock hops" after the games. It was a magical time
