Samuel Casey, 63, of Charlottesville died peacefully Sunday April 21, 2019, while at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1956, to the late Reverend Virgil W. Casey, Sr. and the late Jeanette Buell Casey in Pineville, Kentucky.

Samuel was a nurse by trade and a member of Rivanna Baptist Church in Charlottesville, VA.

He is survived by his two children; one son, Anthony Casey and his wife Erin of Orange VA and one daughter, Elizabeth Noel Casey of Charlottesville and two grandchildren. His siblings; one brother Virgil W. Casey, Jr. and his wife Kathy and Darlene Casey Johnson and her husband Todd. In addition to many close friends and loved ones.

In addition to his parents, Samuel is preceded in death by his siblings Jennie Blankenship, Carlene Casey and Daniel Casey.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday April 26, 2019, at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd. Charlottesville VA 22903.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Rivanna Baptist Church, 1819 E. Market St. Charlottesville, 22902 with the Pastor Larry Wingfield officiating.

Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pkwy Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
