Betty J. Gibson Snider, 72, of Scottsville died on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Grace Health and Rehab in Greene County.

She was born on February 8, 1946, to the late John W. and Lorene W. Gibson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Lee Gibson and her husband, Marshall G Snider.

Betty was a graduate of Albemarle High School, and trained under Edna Burgess for cosmetology. She was a hair stylist for 51 years. She was active at Watermarks Camp and enjoyed being involved with the children who attended. She attended Atlee Community Church Scottsville Campus. Betty was a loving and compassionate person to anyone in need. She loved her family and cared for them dearly.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Ramey Critzer and her husband, Travis; grandsons, Trey Devin Critzer and wife, Kiersten, Joshua Logan Critzer and wife, Hannah; great-grandson, Sawyer Vernon Critzer; sisters, Peggy Pace, Shirley Spencer, Linda Feltis and husband, Roy; brother, John Gibson and wife, Dorothy; sister-in-law, Peggy Gibson. She is also survived by seven nephews, four nieces, 11 great-nieces and nine great-nephews.
