Alice Faye Harmon Critzer Forloines Savage, 87 of Chesterfield, VA, died on January 30, 2026, at Lucy Corr, Chesterfield, VA.
Born on December 20, 1938, in Charlottesville, VA, she was the daughter of Virginia and Lewis E. Harmon, Sr. She was preceded in death by husband Charles H. Critzer, Sr., husband Grover W. Forloines and husband Earl Savage; sister, Dorothy H. Bailey; brothers, Lewis E. Harmon, Jr., David E. Harmon, and Robert "Bob" Harmon.
Alice was employed by Piedmont Tractor and Martha Jefferson Credit Union. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Alice enjoyed playing cards and rooting for the Virginia Cavaliers. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She especially loved taking care of children. Alice had a beautiful singing voice; she was known for her "kitchen" singing with her sisters and was active in her church choir. Alice was a volunteer for many years with the Charlottesville chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
Alice is survived by her children, Sharon C. Fairgieve, and husband, Mark, of Boise, ID, Orlando Dale Critzer, and wife, Terri, of Chesterfield, VA, Charles H. Critzer, Jr., and wife, Kimberly, of Fluvanna, VA, and Timothy H. Critzer, and wife, Shannon of Fluvanna, VA; granddaughters, Caitlin Critzer and Aleah Critzer; great-grandchildren, Slayter Faye Campbell and Rhyatt H. Shiflett; and Alice's sister, Loretta H. Pirkey of San Diego, CA.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Lucy Corr for their outstanding professional and compassionate care toward our mom, Alice.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hill & Wood Funeral Services at 201 N. 1st Street in Charlottesville, VA, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, followed by a graveside service at Mooreland Baptist church cemetery at 2255 Taylors Gap Rd, North Garden, VA 22959.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
