KAREN JO VIAR

Karen Jo Viar is a 1970 Albemarle High School graduate. Karen is known for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and loving gentle spirit. To her fellow classmates, she is a loyal and trusted friend. She loves to organize events. She never meets a stranger. She supports several local charities, foundations and organizations monetarily, and unselfishly gives of her time, talents and efforts.

Karen is an active vlunteer with the Yellow Door Foundation, the Elks Club of Charlottesville, serves on a supporting organization for the University of Virginia football team and has served on the board of the Albemarle High School Alumni Association since its inception in the fall of 2008.

Karen has either been a participant or chaired all of the class of 1970 reunion committees. In recent years, she has been a caregiver for her father, mother and a friend's sister. Her commitment and enthusiam to Albemarle High School and selfless dedication to her parents and friends are a true testament to her unwavering loyalty, compassion and character.
