Deborah Kerr Pollard (Frazier) - Class Of 1971

Deborah Pollard Frazier of Keswick, passed away peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Hospice House in Charlottesville.

Deborah "Debbie" was born in Charlottesville, on April 26 1953, the daughter of Mary Alice Clemmer Pollard and the late Charles Miller (Gus) Pollard.

In addition to her father, Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marguerite and David Clemmer, and Verna and Frank Pollard.

In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by her husband, Paul E. Frazier Jr.; sister and best friend, Mary Poole and her husband, Allan; their son, Zachary and his girlfriend, Justina Augustine; brother, Charles C. Pollard and his wife, Susan and nephew, Andrew Rooke; nephews, John and Matthew Pollard and their wives, Amanda and Kristen, and niece, Sarah Pollard; stepson, Jason Frazier and his wife, Raven; stepdaughter, Jessica Frazier and Scott Smith and their daughter, Vera, among numerous remaining relatives, and a favorite aunt, Jane C. "Neenie" Wells . Not to forget her fur baby Miss Polly whom she loved very much.

Debbie graduated from Albemarle High School, and spent most of her adult life as a homemaker. The most important thing in her life was her family. She kept her nephew, Zachary, the light of her life, after he was born in 1993 until he went off to kindergarten. She always made sure her family was ok, calling her Mom and sister everyday, sometimes several times a day. Debbie had a strong bond with her Daddy and struggled after his passing in 2004. Even after he passed, Mom always joked that Gus was still around as Deb was the exact mold of her Daddy, always the rebel but with the biggest heart. Although she didn't go out a lot, she never met a stranger and loved to talk. She also loved electronics, always waiting and watching for the next model in computers or iPhones to be released. She also liked watching basketball, and taking trips with Paul, Mom and Aunt Neenie to Charles Town or Atlantic City to the casinos until she lost her leg and was unable to drive. Even though she was in a wheelchair she tried to stay positive but it was always hard.

The family would like to express their heartfelt love and thanks for the excellent care she received from the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Piedmont, most importantly Hospice House on Park Street.

A private celebration of Debbie's life will be held at a later date.

Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Place, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911, or ASPCA, P.O. Box 7047, Charlottesville VA 22906.
