Virginia Bailey Rybolt, 82, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died on June 19, 2023, at Rosewood Village Hollymead Assisted Living Facility.

Born on January 15, 1941, in Albemarle County, Virginia, she was the daughter of James O. and Frances V. Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John F. Rybolt; her brother, John E. Bailey (Dorothy); and her sisters, Mabel B. Davis (Hubert) and Lily B Hewey (Bob).

Virginia graduated from Albemarle High School and retired as a bookkeeper from what is currently Wells Fargo Bank. She was a past volunteer with the University of Virginia Medical Center and Martha Jefferson Sentara Hospital. She was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville, the Charlottesville Elks Lodge and an avid fan of UVA athletic events.

Virginia is survived by her cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home, 201 N. 1st St, Charlottesville, Virginia. Visitation will occur one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 550 Buck Mountain Road, Earlysville, Virginia.
