James Todd Suddarth - Class Of 1984

James Todd "J.T." Suddarth, age 55, of Charlottesville, passed away on January 19, 2022, after decades of suffering with heart and kidney disease. He was the son of James and Joyce Fay Melton Suddarth.

J.T. attended First Baptist Church of Charlottesville. He graduated from Albemarle High School where he played quarterback and tight end for two years and was on the Varsity Baseball Team where he pitched and played 2nd base, as a junior and senior. He graduated from Longwood College. J.T. had a successful career in electronics sales. He was proud of his work with children's youth programs.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Carter and Virginia; his children's mother, Ann Meadows; one special cousin, whom was like a sister to him, Tracy Perez and six other treasured cousins; and a special friend, Denise Taylor.

A very special poem to J.T. was "It's Me Again God": I come every day. Just to talk with you, Lord and to learn how to pray. You make me feel welcome. You reach out your hand. I need never explain, for you understand. I come to you frightened and burdened with care, so lonely and lost and so filled with despair. And suddenly Lord, I am no longer afraid, my burden is lighter, and the dark shadows fade. Oh, God, what a comfort to know that you care, and to know when I seek you. You Will Always Be There!

A private family graveside committal on Monday, January 24, 2022, will be held at Monticello Memorial Gardens, Charlottesville. Officiated by Pastor Joel Jenkins and Pastor Mike Alley.

Arrangements entrusted to Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville.
