Peter Michael Schrepfer - Class Of 1976

Peter Michael Schrepfer, 64, of Charlottesville, Virginia died on June 23, 2022 at his home.

Born February 23, 1958, in Baltimore,Maryland, he was the son of Willi K.Schrepfer and Brunhilde M. Schrepfer. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Peter was a graduate of James Madison University with a degree in Business. He worked a short time at Klockner Pentaplast and finished his working days with the City of Charlottesville Utilities Department in the Gas Division, leaving the Utilities department in 2014.

He is a Navy Veteran serving Active Duty from 1982 through 1985, and the Naval reserves from 1986 through 1992. He was very proud of serving his country.

Peter is survived by his wife Michele Johnston Schrepfer of Charlottesville, Va., his son, Benjamin Schrepfer ( fiancée Joseph Morales), of Appomattox, Va.; step children: Cory Johnston,( Roxanne Carter-Johnston), of Palmyra, Va, Wesley Johnston (fiancée Cathy Price), of Waynesboro, Va, Dayton Johnston of Charlottesville, Va, and Ashley Johnston of Palmyra, Va.

Grandchildren: Victoria, Alana and Olivia Carter-Johnston of Palmyra, Va., Julian Johnston of Charlottesville, Va., Chloe Johnston of Charlottesville, Va., Micheal and Lexi Snedegar, and Gabriel Johnston Osorio of Palmyra,Va. Peter is also survived by many family members located in Virginia and Germany.


We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the UVA Medical Center for providing him with the best care possible over the last 6 years. Thank you to the dialysis staff at UVA West Complex for always treating him with kindness and respect.

All friends and family are welcome to express their condolences at Hill and Wood Funeral home in Charlottesville, Va. Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m., June 28, 2022 . Graveside Service 11 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Holly Memorial Gardens on Seminole Trail. Following the service the family will receive friends at the home located at 1270 Redfields Rd, Charlottesville, Va.
