William J. Maupin Jr. died on January 17 2023, in Denver, Colo. He was born in Charlottesville, Va., on October 17 1955, the oldest of nine children.

Billy loved working with horses and training dogs. Billy enjoyed nature, hiking and just being outdoors. Billy enjoyed traveling the country in his RV with his two beloved dogs, Ansel And Axel.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bessie Maupin and a sister, Mary Ann Ford. He leaves behind two brothers, Vernon and Addison; five sisters, Bessie, Ada, Ida, Charlene, and Darlene, and many nieces and nephews.
