Joyce was born on February 24, 1941, to the late Hubert and Mammie Moubry. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, William and two brothers, Earl and Edward.

Joyce is survived by her children, Raymond E. Patterson and Barbara Goin (Kevin); one sister, Evelyn Bibb; her grandchildren, Tiffany Bryant and Kim Ferguson (Josh); and her great-grandchildren, Jason, Levi and Raegan.

Joyce's passion was cooking. She always loved cooking for her family and everyone. Joyce was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Teague Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Monticello Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville.
