Wilbourn "Bill" G. Faris, 77, of Chesterfield, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

Born on July 6, 1939, in Albemarle County, he was a son of the late Walter G. Faris and Luttie B. Faris.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Mary E. Faris.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred McCauley and Barbara Pennington; and three brothers, Donald H. Faris, James H. Faris and Walter B. Faris.

A veteran, Bill retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service, going onto provide 20 additional years of Civil Service at Fort Lee. He was a devoted member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesterfield.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Faris; daughters, Catherine Connor (Antony) of Isle of Man, Debbie Bingham and her daughters, Laura and Sarah and Terry Forline (Alfred) and their children, Sam, Timmy and Mary; one son, Alfred BinghamJr. (Anita) and their children, Danny, Bill, Jessica, Brittney, and Storm and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Roscoe G. Faris of Charlottesville and his children, Donald, Drena and Heather Clark (Jeremy).

The family will receive friends and family from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017, both at Trinity United Methodist Church, 6600 Greenyard Rd at IronbridgeRd, Chester, VA 23831. Interment will followat Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield. The Rev. Teresa Keezel will be officiating
