Lauren Ruth Tornrose

A FORMATION Success Story
Lauren Tornrose has been an active participant in the life of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church from a very early age. She en-thusiastically participated in Children's Choir and Christmas Plays as a child, and has led Youth Praise Band and served Christmas meals at the Salvation Army as a teenager. In short, Lauren has continuously used her gifts to serve God through the body of Chestnut Grove. She has grown in her faith, taking on evolving roles as God leads her to maturity- a FORMATION success story!

From the time of her first summer camp experience, Lauren felt a desire to serve younger people as a camp counselor. She has attended camp with the youth group for the last six years. This summer she will have the chance to experience camp from a different per-spective, as a servant leader.

Last year, Lauren applied to Centrifuge camps' Student Leader Apprentice program. From a nation wide pool of applicants Lauren was selected to participate at the Glorietta, New Mexico camp location this summer. This program is designed to introduce students first-hand to camp ministry and prepare them for future leadership roles. Chestnut Grove is proud to support Lauren as she takes this exciting next step in her faith journey.
