Catherine Louise Gibson, 79, of Charlottesville, died Friday, October 24, 2014, at a local hospital.  

Born September 30, 1935, in Albemarle County, she was the daughter of the late Charley James Sandridge Sr. and Eula Mae Wyant Sandridge.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Charley James Sandridge Jr. 

Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband of 58 years, William L. Gibson Sr.; one son, William Lloyd Gibson Jr.; three sisters, Mary Konn, Rachel Beavers and Bernice Range; three brothers, Gene Sandridge, Tommy Sandridge and Joe Sandridge; one grandchild, Nellie; and one great-grandchild, Georgie. 

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Holly Memorial Gardens with Pastor Brian R. Cadle officiating.
