Harold Grimes (1970)
Thomas K. Grimes
Thomas "Tommy" Keith Grimes, 47, of Charlottesville, Died Monday, June 25, 2001, at his residence with family. Born June 2, 1954, in Charlottesville, he was the son of Evelyn Norris Grimes of Crozet, and the late Harold F,. "Red" Grimes. Tommy graduated from Albemarle High School and Bluefield College, and served in the U.S. Army with the 68th Armored Division, for four years in Germany, and in the Army Reserve for several years.
He was a member of King Solomon Masonic Lodge No. 194, Crozet, VA, and the Fraternal Order of Police, ROCIC and VALID. He was a detective with the Albemarle County Police Department with 22 years of service.
The funeral service was held at Crozet Baptist Cruch and buried in Rockgate Cemetery.
