Cole Edward Digges - Class Of 1980

 Cole Edward Digges IV "Eddie" passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, surrounded by loving friends and family at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.
 
Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, on January 4, 1962, Eddie was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather.
 
He loved Corvettes. He loved going to Virginia Beach, where he would frequent the many pawn shops looking for a deal and then sit and relax with his wife on the boardwalk. Eddie loved fixing things and "wheeling and dealing."He worked for the United States Postal Service for 27 years. He will be remembered as someone who would give you the shirt off his back, who would fix anything you brought to him. He was often fond of imparting wisdom onto his children.
 
He is survived by his high-school sweetheart and wife of 28 years, Cindy; mother and father, Cole III and Margaret Digges; father-in-law, Edward Leathers; brother, Duane and wife, Sherrie Digges; brother-in-law, Troy; and sister-in-law, Lynn Leathers; son, Cole Digges V and fiancee, Nicole Patterson; daughter, Cari and son-in-law, Kellen Squire; niece, Lauren Digges; and nephews, Aaron and Adam Leathers; grandchildren, Austin and Brooklyn Squire; pet, Scarlett Macaw "Skittles," cats, "Dennis" and "Harley"; as well as numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, and acquaintences.
 
A celebration of Eddie's life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Lake Christian Church in Palmyra, Virginia, from 4 until 6:30 p.m.
 
The family requests flowers be sent to the physicians, nurses and staff at Martha Jefferson Hospital, in sincere thanks for their hard work and compassion, and any donations to the Cheseapeake Bay Foundation.
