Tony Foster Hensley, 39, of Charlottesville, Va., died on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Born on November 11, 1978, in Charlottesville, he was the son of Anita and Michael Greene.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alvin "Bootsie" Hensley, and paternal grandfather, Trenton Lamb.

Tony was an amazing father, son, brother, and grandson. He had a heart bigger than life itself, and loved his sons with every inch of it. He was loved by everyone he met and never knew a stranger. He put others before himself and expected nothing in return. He will be deeply missed.

Tony is survived by his children, Tyler Hensley and Tanner Hensley; his fiance', Jenna Thacker, and her son Landen; brother, Toby Hensley and wife, Britney; brother, Michael Baber; grandmother, Alice Brown; uncle, Al Hensley and wife, Kim; aunt, Vicki Hale and husband, Kenny; father, Vince Lamb; uncle, Kevin Lamb; aunt, Lisa Shifflett; aunt, Teresa Meyers; very special nieces, Aubrie and Bailie; very special cousins, John Hensley and Sarah Hale; a large, loving, extended family, and many lifelong friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018, at Hill & Wood Funeral Home, First and Market Street, Charlottesville. Interment will be private.
